Algiplex was founded by Oxford researchers Georgina Whichello and Dr Cherilyn Lee, combining expertise across chemistry, molecular biology and microbial ecosystems to translate synthetic ecology from the laboratory into commercial cultivation.

Georgina Whichello

Co-Founder & CEO

Georgina leads the translation of Algiplex’s science into a commercially deployable platform, working with algae producers and industry partners to bring the technology from laboratory validation to real-world cultivation.

Dr Cherilyn Lee

Co-Founder & CTO

Cherilyn brings expertise in molecular and cellular biology. At Algiplex, she leads the biological development of the microbial ecosystems underpinning the platform and their translation into robust systems for algae cultivation.
